Mounties in Roblin have arrested one man in connection with a group fight that broke out in the rural community Wednesday afternoon.
Officers received a report of a disturbance outside a home on Princess Street in Roblin around 3:55 p.m. and learned an injured man had been spotted walking through the community carrying a firearm, Manitoba RCMP said in a news release Friday.
Further information indicated three people were fighting and were possibly armed with bats, knives and a gun. Police spoke to two people involved in the fight, but no injuries were reported, police said.
Officers launched patrols in the area and located a 34-year-old suspect on Park Street. Police arrested him without incident and seized an airsoft gun. He was treated by paramedics and released into police custody, RCMP said.
Police have charged the Roblin man with uttering threats and several firearms-related offences. He remains in custody and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
