Schedules for new transit network now online

Winnipeggers can now check out how best to travel by bus once an overhaul slated to change virtually every current local route takes effect next month.

Winnipeg Transit will launch a new primary transit network on June 29, a major switch expected to transform the entire route system. Transit posted the upcoming schedules online Thursday so folks can try out virtual trips.

“You can now see exactly how you’ll get anywhere in Winnipeg, with routes that are more frequent, more direct and easier to use,” Mayor Scott Gillingham said in a news release.

People who go online will now see an option to preview stops, routes and trip plans for the new network on every page.
