The Winnipeg Sea Bears have released guard Mason Bourcier after mutually agreeing to part ways.
The sharp-shooting guard from Kelowna, B.C., was scratched (coach’s decision) from Wednesday night’s lineup against the Vancouver Bandits and played just 7:43 in Sunday’s contest against the Calgary Surge.
Bourcier, who was in his second season with Winnipeg, averaged 3.3 points, one rebound and one assist in 11.1 minutes while coming off the bench.
The 25-year-old proposed to his wife, Makenna, before a Sea Bears home game last July.
