Security personnel threatened with hatchet in Henderson Highway robbery

A woman accused of pulling out a hatchet and threatening security personnel after being caught stealing at a Henderson Highway business has been arrested.
The Winnipeg Police Service said the woman was leaving a store on the 1100 block without paying for merchandise when a guard stopped her at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Security personnel were taking back the goods when the woman pulled out the hatchet and threatened them, police said.
Patrol officers found a woman nearby and arrested her shortly after noon. They seized a hatchet.
The woman, 30, has been charged with robbery and failing to comply with an undertaking. She was also wanted on several warrants. Police kept her in custody.
