Several streets to close for police half-marathon on Sunday

Several streets will be closed on Sunday morning during the Winnipeg Police Service half-marathon.

The half-marathon and two-person relay races, which begin at 8 a.m., start near the intersection of Conservatory Drive and Park Boulevard North in Assiniboine Park. The 5K race begins at 8:10 a.m.

Westbound Wellington Crescent from Elm Street to Assiniboine Park will be closed to vehicles from 6 to 11 a.m., as will northbound Park Boulevard North to Wellington Crescent.

No parking will be allowed on the two eastbound curb lanes of Portage Avenue from Woodhaven to Douglas Park boulevards from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.
