Police say a domestic incident that left two people dead Monday was a murder-suicide.
They publicly identified the victim as Nadia Flett-Carriere, a 22-year-old member of God’s Lake First Nation living in Winnipeg. Police did not release the name of the alleged killer but said the other person who died was a 27-year-old Winnipeg man.
Police were sent to the 500 block of Sherburn Street at 2:08 p.m. and found the pair “in medical distress.” Both later died.
The WPS asked anyone with information about the incident to contact homicide investigators at 204-986-6508, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online.
