Silver alert issued for missing 57-year-old

Winnipeg police have issued a silver alert for a vulnerable 57-year-old woman who has been missing since Tuesday. 

Elizabeth Van Reenen was last seen at around 11:59 p.m. in the area of Henderson Highway and Gilmore Avenue, said a Winnipeg police news release on Thursday. 

She’s described as five-foot-eight with a heavy build, grey hair and brown eyes. 

She was last wearing a black jacket and black Velcro shoes, said Winnipeg police.

Police are concerned for Van Reenen’s well-being and are asking anyone with information to contact the police’s missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.
