The Nestaweya River Trail has closed for skating because of warm daytime temperatures, The Forks said Monday.

The rinks under the canopy and in front of the CN stage are both closed, as are skating trails in the winter park.

The walking/biking and cross-country skiing trails remain open, The Forks posted on social media.

“Until the skating surface opens, please stay off the ice, both to protect your skates and the trail,’ the post states.

Trail condition updates are posted on The Forks website.

Daytime temperatures above freezing are expected to continue for several days, with a high today of 3 C.
