Street Links staying put for now

A homeless outreach organization will keep its city-owned property for at least one more year.
Council’s property and development committee cast a final vote Friday to extend St. Boniface Street Links lease of 604 St. Mary’s Rd. until Nov. 30, 2026, with a rent of $1 per year.
The organization has used the site to offer a 24/7 city-funded safe space since 2023.
The city is negotiating a long-term lease of the site with Street Links but hasn’t reached a deal.
