Student hit by vehicle in northeast Winnipeg

A River East Transcona School Division student was struck by a vehicle on her way to school Friday morning.
A spokesman for the school division confirmed the “minor accident.”
“Their parent was contacted, picked them up, and it was recommended to take them to the doctor for assessment,” the spokesman said.
The Winnipeg Police Service was told about the collision.
The school division did not say which school the student attends or provide any other information.
