Suspects sought in Gods Lake Narrows arson

RCMP arrested a youth and are searching for two more after a home behind the Gods Lake Narrows band office was set ablaze.

Police were called at about 8:10 p.m. Saturday and found the empty house completely engulfed in flames.

A 16-year-old suspect was arrested by officers who patrolled the area. The youth is charged with arson and obstructing a peace officer.

Mounties are asking anyone with information about the two other youth suspects to call Gods Lake Narrows RCMP at 204-335-2260 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

God’s Lake First Nation is located about 550 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
