Police are searching for two people they say broke into the Strathclair fire hall last week.
RCMP were told about the incident at 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 22.
The burglars stole a truck, trailer and utility-terrain vehicle and caused “significant damage” inside the hall, RCMP said in a news release Tuesday.
Strathclair is northwest of Brandon and south of Riding Mountain National Park, in the Yellowhead municipality.
Police determined the burglars headed west on Highway 16 after the incident. Mounties later found the trailer, with the UTV on it, on the side of the road just outside Russell. The stolen truck was found in the parking lot of a Russell business.
RCMP released images of the male and female suspects, who might have continued west towards Saskatchewan, taken at a store shortly after 5:30 a.m. that day. They were last seen driving a white motorhome with a decal on the top.
Police asked anyone with information about the suspects to call the Shoal Lake RCMP detachment at 204-759-2390 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
