RCMP are investigating an armed attempted home invasion in Sapotaweyak Cree Nation after someone fired shots outside a home and disabled security cameras.
Police said a woman inside the home reported a man known to her tried to force his way in. He then shot the cameras, cut an internet cable and fled the property, Manitoba RCMP said in a news release Friday.
Officers found a man hiding in the bedroom of another home, RCMP said. He has been charged with 19 offences.
Ammunition was seized from the home where the man was found, and guns were later found at another location.
