A 17-year-old girl accused of pointing a gun at another teenager in Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation earlier this month has been arrested.
Just before noon on May 4, Norway House RCMP were alerted to the incident, which occurred the previous night at a home on Hart Drive.
Mounties went to the residence and arrested the 17-year-old for pointing a firearm. She was later released with a court date scheduled for July.
RCMP continued investigating and learned the gun believed to have been used was moved to a residence on Walter Margaret Road in the community, which is also known as Norway House. Officers searched that house with a warrant on May 8 and found seven firearms, along with ammunition.
Police expect to lay more charges related to those guns being stored improperly.
