Teen dies in dirt bike collision with deer

A 15-year-old boy is dead after the dirt bike he was riding collided with a deer in the RM of Dauphin Saturday.
Mounties arrived at the scene of the crash on Road 114W near Valley River at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, RCMP said in a news release on Monday.
The teen was transported to hospital, where he died.
The boy was not wearing a helmet, Mounties said.
“This is a heartbreaking tragedy that will have a lasting impact on so many within the Dauphin area,” said Sgt. Mark Smaill of Parkland RCMP.
The deer was found dead at the scene.
RCMP continue to investigate.
