A trio of teenagers has been arrested for allegedly igniting a blaze that destroyed two vacant houses on the corner of Balmoral Street and Sargent Avenue in February.
The fire was sparked around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 and kept firefighters busy into the night. No one was hurt.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service determined the blaze had been intentionally set and passed that information to Winnipeg police major crimes detectives.
Detectives identified three suspects and arrested them on Monday, police said.
A 13-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl will be charged with two counts each of arson causing damage to property and possession of incendiary material. All were released on undertakings to their parents.
