Ten additional liquor stores join list of closures

Ten additional Liquor Marts have been added to the list of store closures until further notice, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries said in a media release Monday afternoon.

In addition to the store closures already announced, ten more Liquor Marts will be closed starting 7 a.m. Tuesday. These include stores in Dauphin, Fort Richmond, Gimli, Main & Jefferson, Portage & Burnell, River & Osborne, Sage Creek, Selkirk, Steinbach and Stonewall.

“MBLL must reduce the number of Liquor Marts open for business to ensure we can effectively manage allocating limited inventory to the remaining open locations,” the Crown corporation said in a statement.

However, many Liquor Marts will still be open, MBLL said.
