A suspect wanted for an assault on a man in a Thompson home has been arrested.
Kenneth Paynter, 36, was arrested in Lynn Lake on Monday, RCMP said Tuesday.
The victim, 34, was “seriously assaulted” at a home early on April 25 before a Good Samaritan came across him and took him to hospital.
Police asked for the public’s help in finding Paynter, who lives in Thompson, on May 9. Mounties arrested Lawrence Moose, 28, of South Indian Lake on that date. Moose is charged with aggravated assault for the April 25 incident and with assaulting a peace officer during his arrest in Thompson.
