Tornado touches down near Rossburn

Environment Canada has confirmed a tornado touched down near Rossburn Sunday evening.
The storm touched ground around 7:30 p.m. said meteorologist Brian Proctor. The storm also recorded significant wind gusts, with wind blowing 85 km/h at Shoal Lake and 100 km/h at Somerset throughout the evening.
Rossburn deputy mayor Adam Grabowski said two homes were damaged in the storm, but no one was home at the time and there have been no reported injuries.
Rossburn is located about 300 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
