Two arrested in Corydon shooting

Two young men have been charged in an Oct. 5 shooting in the 700 block of Corydon Avenue. The 44-year-old male victim, who survived, had intervened in a physical altercation between the two suspects and a third man at about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 5.
Both suspects fired handguns at the victim, who was shot in the upper-body and was treated in hospital, police stated in a news release Sunday as they announced the arrest of the two suspects.
Eldon Siddall, 18, is charged with aggravated assault, firearms offences and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. Diondre Nicholson, 19, is charged with aggravated assault, firearms offences, driving while disqualified, forgery and possession of counterfeit money. They were arrested after police executed search warrants Nov. 1.
Police also linked one of the suspects to a separate shooting that happened in the 100 block of Smith Street in the early morning hours of March 17, 2024. Both were detained in custody.
