A man and woman have been charged after RCMP seized drugs at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport in separate incidents.

A 32-year-old Gods Lake Narrows man was attempting to board a flight to Gods River on Dec. 19 when a search by the Manitoba Integrated Law Enforcement Team and the Roving Traffic Unit found 49 grams of methamphetamine.

Days later, on Dec. 22, a 30-year-old woman from Gods River, who was attempting to board a flight home, had a package seized by security. It contained 67 grams of cocaine and 56 grams of methamphetamine.

Kenneth Ross and Tanya Okemow were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and released pending a court date.

RCMP said the street value of the drugs is between $50,000 and $70,000.
