Two dead, five injured in crash near Kenora: OPP

A crash closed Highway 17 east of Kenora Saturday afternoon while Ontario Provincial Police investigated the scene where two were killed and five more were taken to hospital.

Early in the afternoon, OPP closed the highway between Kimberly Road and Longbow Lake Road. It was reopened around 7:30 p.m.

OPP didn’t release the identities of those killed in the crash, the nature of the injuries suffered by those taken to hospital or what led to the crash.
