Two motorcyclists killed in highway collision

Two Manitoba motorcyclists are dead after a highway collision north of Selkirk Saturday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m., when a large group of motorcycles travelling north on Provincial Road 320 turned west on the access road to Highway 4, in the RM of St. Andrews, RCMP said in a news release Monday.
One of the motorcycles was struck by a southbound pickup truck while completing the turn. The driver and passenger died on scene, RCMP said
Friends and relatives identified the victims as Dan Keats, 66, and Brenda Lee, 65. The married couple, both from Winnipeg, were members of the Winnipeg Harley Riders Association and had been participating in a poker derby ride on the day of the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 26-year-old man from the RM of St. Andrews, was not injured. The investigation is ongoing, RCMP said.
