Two 15-year-old boys have been charged after a pistol was fired at a Berens River First Nation resident Saturday night.

RCMP were sent to a home at 7:30 p.m. and were told one of two teens who had arrived there fired a gun and missed. The pair drove away in a pickup truck.

Officers arrested two teens with a loaded Glock handgun hiding in a bedroom at another home, RCMP said in a news release Tuesday. Police also seized ammunition for the handgun, individually wrapped drugs and a large amount of cash.

“The Glock has never been registered in Canada, leading officers to believe that it may have been smuggled from another country,” the release said.

One youth is also charged for incidents that happened in Long Plain First Nation in January and February.
