United Way collects $22.4M in donations

United Way Winnipeg says it received $22.4 million in donations last year — only $400,000 less than 2023’s record amount.

“We’re so thrilled Winnipeggers keep giving such generous gifts to make our city stronger,” a spokesperson said in an emailed statement.

The charitable organization celebrated all those who contributed to last year’s effort — including more than 600 workplaces that volunteered or ran fundraising campaigns with tens of thousands of individual donors — Wednesday night.
