A fire at a boarded-up home on Redwood Avenue remains under investigation.

The fire happened at a two-storey, vacant home on the 400 block that has been the site of three previous fires in November and December last year, and earlier this month. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were sent to the home at 11:17 a.m. Sunday and declared the blaze under control within 20 minutes.

No damage estimates were available. The fire department reminded Winnipeggers to call 911 if they see anyone removing boards from windows or doors to enter a vacant property, the WFPS said in a news release. People should call 311 if they notice boards have been removed but they don’t see anyone entering the property.
