Winnipeg Jets forward Gabe Vilardi is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with an enlarged spleen.

The 24-year-old has missed the past seven games due to what was described as an upper-body injury. Further testing this week revealed the internal issue, which is now being treated.

There is no timeline for a potential return.

Vilardi has played in just 38 of the first 65 games this season after suffering two previous injuries. He has 16 goals and 14 assists so far.
