Voters invited to register for U.S. election

American-Canadian expats in Manitoba will host a U.S. voter registration information event in Winnipeg Sept. 20.

The “meet and greet” will focus on how to register to vote by absentee ballot for the Nov. 3 U.S. mid-term elections, a news release from the group said.  It encouraged U.S. citizens who are at least 18 years of age and living in Manitoba to attend and ask questions or share their knowledge.  An information handout and voter registration assistance will be available.

The drop-in event is from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Bill and Helen Norrie Library at 15 Poseidon Bay.
