Crews put out four weekend fires

Crews extinguished four fires over the weekend.

The first was at a house on the 600 block of St. Mary’s Road. Crews were sent there shortly after 7:20 p.m. Saturday and declared the fire under control within 30 minutes.

Later, as the Free Press previously reported, firefighters were sent to the area of Sherbrook Street and Westminster Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. They declared a fire there under control about 40 minutes later.

Late Saturday night, crews were sent to a house on the 1100 block of Alexander Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m. and declared the fire under control at 12:15 a.m.

On Sunday, crews were sent to a strip mall on the 900 block of Corydon Avenue at 7:10 a.m. and declared the fire under control 15 minutes later.

The fires are under investigation.
