A 31-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested after police say they found 46 grams of cocaine on him.

Officers, after learning about a man trafficking drugs in the Varsity View neighbourhood, obtained a warrant and searched an apartment complex on the 100 block of Hendon Avenue on Wednesday.

They arrested a man and found additional 207 grams of cocaine, drug packaging and scales while searching the apartment, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Saturday. The WPS said the total amount of cocaine seized had an estimated street value of more than $25,000.

The man, who is facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking, was released on an undertaking.
