Crews are to begin plowing Winnipeg streets Wednesday morning after the overnight dump of snow.
Crews will also plow sidewalks and pathways.
City officials say the work is being scheduled based on its priority system, which starts out with major routes.
The City of Winnipeg has warned motorists to drive to conditions and to use “extreme caution” when near heavy equipment.
The city also noted the annual winter route parking ban is in effect, with no parking allowed on those marked routes between 2 and 7 a.m. every day. Those improperly parked may be ticketed and towed.
The city has also opened all three of its snow dump sites.
There are disposal sites at the city’s west and south sewage treatment plants at 7740 Wilkes Ave. and 100 Ed Spencer Dr., respectively, as well as one on McPhillips Street about 1.25 km south of the Perimeter Highway.
