Police were sent to the intersection of McPhillips Street and Machray Avenue shortly before 9:30 p.m.

An unidentified woman was taken to hospital in unstable condition with serious injuries, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Tuesday.

Investigators learned the woman was trying to walk westbound when she was hit by a northbound 2018 Nissan Titan. The 50-year-old driver remained at the scene and spoke with officers, the WPS said.
