The provincial government announced Monday it will form a working group to study the potential impacts of designating Ste. Anne Hospital as a regional health facility.
The group will include representatives from Manitoba Health, municipal leaders, health-care professionals and community stakeholders to assess how the designation could enhance health-care delivery in the area. The group will examine factors such as service capacity, infrastructure needs, staffing and long-term sustainability.
The group will hold public consultations.
“We’re proud of the care provided here and believe this working group is a key step toward building a stronger, more collaborative health system that meets the needs of our residents today and into the future,” Town of Ste. Anne Mayor Yvan St. Vincent said in a news release sent by the Manitoba government.
