Police investigate North End death

Winnipeg police have launched a homicide investigation after a man was found dead outside a home in the Dufferin neighbourhood on Saturday.

Officers responded to a well-being call at a residence on the 700 block of Stella Avenue around 8 a.m., where they found Jamie Raymond Asham, Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Monday.

Asham, 32, was a member of Peguis First Nation who had been living in Winnipeg. His death is considered suspicious and the homicide unit is investigating, WPS said.
