SPRAGUE, Man. –
RCMP say a 52-year-old Winnipeg man has died in a snowmobile crash in southern Manitoba.

The collision happened Friday near Woodbridge, about 110 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg.

Mounties say an initial investigation shows the man was thrown from the snowmobile after hitting two bumps in a trail and he lost control of the machine.

They say the man was receiving emergency medical care when officers arrived.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed is being considered a factor and it appears alcohol wasn’t involved.
