INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Jyran Mitchell ran for 149 yards with a touchdown and Butler rallied to defeat Presbyterian 27-17 on Saturday.
Presbyterian built a 17-14 halftime lead on a field goal and touchdown passes of 93 and 75 yards from Tyler Wesley to Dominic Kibby.
Butler took the lead, 21-17, on a 14-yard pass from Bret Bushka to Ryan Lezon midway through the third quarter, then Luka Zurak added two short field goals in the fourth quarter to close out the win.
Mitchell’s touchdown was a 12-yard run that opened the scoring in the first quarter. He caught one pass for 13 yards and completed a pass for another 17 yards. Bushka completed 17 of 26 passes for 148 yards and had 99 yards rushing for the Bulldogs (4-1, 2-0 Pioneer Football League).
Wesley completed 17 of 28 passes for 323 yards but the Blue Hose (2-2, 0-1) had only 33 yards rushing. Kibby caught five passes for 199 yards.
