MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Rob Perry had 16 points in Murray State’s 78-72 win against Tennessee Tech on Friday night.

Perry added five rebounds for the Racers (2-0). Brian Moore Jr. scored 15 points while going 5 of 12 and 5 of 6 from the free throw line. Nick Ellington had 12 points and shot 4 of 4 from the field and 4 for 6 from the line.

The Golden Eagles (0-2) were led in scoring by Rodney Johnson Jr., who finished with 15 points. Jayvis Harvey added 13 points and four assists for Tennessee Tech. In addition, Josiah Davis had 12 points.

NEXT UP

Both teams next play Tuesday. Murray State hosts Western Kentucky and Tennessee Tech takes on Lipscomb at home.
