SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Alston Mason’s 28 points helped Missouri State defeat Oral Roberts 84-69 on Monday night.
Mason also contributed nine rebounds for the Bears (1-1). Donovan Clay scored 17 points and added six rebounds. N.J. Benson had 11 points and was 5 of 7 shooting and 1 of 3 from the free throw line.
The Golden Eagles (1-2) were led in scoring by Issac McBride, who finished with 27 points and three steals. DeShang Weaver added 11 points and six rebounds for Oral Roberts. In addition, Jalen Miller had 10 points.
NEXT UP
Both teams next play Friday. Missouri State takes on FGCU and Oral Roberts goes on the road to play Texas A&M.
