YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Jaylen Searles’ 20 points helped Utah Tech defeat Lake Erie 81-69 on Saturday.
Searles had seven rebounds and three steals for the Trailblazers (2-2). Beon Riley added 19 points while shooting 5 of 6 from the field and 8 for 8 from the line, and he also had five rebounds. Aric Demings had 10 points and shot 3 of 9 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line.
The Storm were led by Jake Leibacher, who posted 15 points and two steals. Caleb Piks added 13 points for Lake Erie. In addition, Kelvin Swims finished with 12 points and four assists.
