CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Josh Earley scored 19 points and Aquan Smart sank a jumper with 6 seconds left to spark Southeast Missouri State to a 70-68 victory Central Arkansas on Monday night.

Earley also added seven rebounds for the Redhawks (1-3). Gavyn Elkamil scored 11 points while finishing 3 of 7 from 3-point range. Evan Eursher had 10 points and shot 3 for 5 (2 for 4 from 3-point range) and 2 of 4 from the free throw line. Smart had nine points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Bears (1-4) were led by Ubong Abasi Etim, who recorded 15 points and eight rebounds. Elias Cato added 14 points and three steals for Central Arkansas. In addition, Daniel Sofield finished with 14 points.
