BOSTON (AP) — Chisom Okpara scored a career-high 26 points in Harvard’s 74-72 victory over Holy Cross on Thursday.
Okpara, a sophomore, was fouled at the rim with 3.4 seconds left and he made two free throws. A 3-point attempt by Holy Cross forward Joe Nugent was just off the mark at the final buzzer.
Okpara added six rebounds for the Crimson (8-3). Tyler Simon scored 12 points and added five rebounds. Louis Lesmond had nine points and shot 3 for 5, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.
Joseph Octave led the Crusaders (2-10) in scoring, finishing with 25 points and eight rebounds. Kahlil Singleton added 21 points for Holy Cross. Caleb Kenney also recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. The Crusaders prolonged their losing streak to six straight.
