PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Antonio Madlock’s 30 points led Alabama State over Prairie View A&M 74-67 on Saturday night.
Madlock added five rebounds and four steals for the Hornets (10-9, 5-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). CJ Hines shot 4 for 6 (3 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free-throw line to add 14 points. Eric Coleman Jr. shot 2 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with eight points.
The Panthers (7-12, 2-4) were led by Brian Myles, who recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds and two steals. Charles Smith IV added 14 points and three steals for Prairie View A&M. Orlando Horton Jr. also had 11 points and two steals.
