BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) — Caleb Robinson had 20 points in Gardner-Webb’s 80-73 win against UNC Asheville on Wednesday night.
Robinson had 11 rebounds for the Runnin’ Bulldogs (11-12, 6-2 Big South Conference). Quest Aldridge scored 16 points, going 7 of 13 (2 for 5 from 3-point range). DQ Nicholas shot 7 for 11, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 16 points. The Runnin’ Bulldogs picked up their sixth straight win.
Josh Banks finished with 21 points for the Bulldogs (14-9, 6-2). Drew Pember added 13 points and two blocks for UNC Asheville. In addition, Fletcher Abee finished with 13 points.
NEXT UP
Gardner-Webb next plays Wednesday against Presbyterian on the road, and UNC Asheville will host Winthrop on Saturday.
