THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — Diante Smith had 20 points in Nicholls State’s 67-63 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday night.

Smith shot 6 for 11 (3 for 4 from 3-point range) and 5 of 7 from the free-throw line for the Colonels (13-11, 8-3 Southland Conference). Robert Brown III hit four 3-pointers and scored 18. Byron Ireland added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Garry Clark finished with 13 points and eight rebounds for the Islanders (14-10, 7-4). Owen Dease had 13 points and six rebounds. Dian Wright-Forde contributed 12 points and four assists.
