HOUSTON (AP) — Hysier Miller scored 16 points as Temple beat Rice 65-43 on Wednesday night.
Miller also added four steals for the Owls (11-17, 4-11 American Athletic Conference). Sam Hofman, Steve Settle III and Matteo Picarelli each scored eight points. Hofman and Settle combined for 16 rebounds.
The Owls (11-17, 5-10) were led in scoring by Max Fiedler, who finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Mekhi Mason added nine points and three steals for Rice.
