BOONE, N.C. (AP) — Tre’Von Spillers scored 15 points as Appalachian State beat Arkansas State 80-57 on Friday night.
Spillers also had 15 rebounds and three blocks for the Mountaineers (26-5, 16-2 Sun Belt Conference). Donovan Gregory scored 15 points and added five rebounds. CJ Huntley had 12 points and was 5 of 7 shooting (2 for 4 from 3-point range). The Mountaineers extended their winning streak to seven games.
The Red Wolves (16-15, 11-7) were led by Taryn Todd, who posted 14 points. Avery Felts added 13 points and two steals for Arkansas State. In addition, Izaiyah Nelson finished with seven points, 10 rebounds and two steals. The loss snapped the Red Wolves’ six-game winning streak.
