LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – Police in southern Alberta are investigating after three children were struck by a vehicle.

Officers responded to a call after the children — ages 14, seven and five — were hit in a marked crosswalk in Lethbridge, Alta.

They were sent to a hospital in Lethbridge then transported to Calgary for further treatment.

Police say the children suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.

Investigators say charges are pending.
