Ottawa police say a man wanted in a deadly 2021 shooting was arrested at Toronto Pearson Airport as he re-entered Canada this week.
Police say the 29-year-old was wanted in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man in Ottawa, as well as the attempted murder of an 18-year-old man.
The shooting occurred on July 4, 2021, on York Street in Ottawa.
A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for the suspect several days later.
Police say the suspect has now been returned to Ottawa, where he faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder.
He appeared in court on Tuesday.
