LANGFORD, B.C. – Coach Dean Murten has named his 28-player Canadian under-20 women’s rugby squad for a tour of Ireland in May.
The young Canadians will play their Irish counterparts on May 10 and May 17 at the IRFU High Performance Centre in Dublin.
The tour roster includes 14 players from the side that went unbeaten at last year’s inaugural Transatlantic Quad Series, beating England, the U.S. and host Wales. The returning players include Kennedi Stevenson, Adelaide Holmes and Rachel Cullum, Canada’s leading try-scorers from the 2024 event.

“This is an exciting group of up-and-coming players that our experienced coaching staff is looking forward to working with in Ireland,” Murten said Friday in a statement.
Eight players on the tour roster helped UBC to its first-ever U Sports women’s rugby championship in the fall, including Adia Pye, who won silver for Canada last year at the 2024 FISU World University Championship Rugby Sevens.
Two players from the U Sports runner-up University of Victoria side have been named to the squad, along with five players from third-place Queen’s including Stevenson, the U Sports rookie of the year. Fellow rookie of the year nominees Sierra Hasse and Mya Koleba are also on the tour roster.
