NORTH VANCOUVER – A volleyball coach has been arrested by North Vancouver RCMP over what they say is an ongoing sexual assault investigation involving a youth.

Police say they received a report on Dec. 22 last year that the youth had allegedly been sexually assaulted by a volleyball coach.

Police say that after their investigation they arrested a 50-year-old man on April 3.

The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was freed on a number of conditions pending charge approval and further investigation.

North Vancouver RCMP Cpl. Mansoor Sahak says the allegations involve sexual assaults that are alleged to have occurred over several years.

He says investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have more information.
